Ever wished you could put a sound card in your laptop? Is your triple-SLI setup taking up all your slots? Do you like sound? Well then have we got news for you!! :P

Get the Vantec 200U USB Sound Card with dual mic inputs, 71. channel sound production, S/PDIF in AND out and Line In input for direct unaltered recording.

Zaps Ant, I seem to recall you being a guitarist... Have you tried this thingamajigger to record something yet? I've been keeping my eyes open to find a decent recording device for simple guitar -> Card -> PC play for both recording and maybe picking up Rocksmith, and the release of Ohm Studio on Steam yesterday just seemed like good timing to me.. The biggest question I've got is about the input ports: Are they 1/4" or headphones jack ports?

Hey man, they're headphone jacks so you'll need an adapter to 1/4". I'm not sure of the recording latency of the device but these days it should be almost negligible. If you run it in ASIO mode and use ASIO4ALL on a good enough PC you can drop the latency substantially through any recording device bar the hardware latency which only the manufacturer can be responsible for.

Long story short, I wouldn't recommended it for studio use but I'm sure it'll be fine as a simple I/O for playing and gaming.

Ps. Rocksmith is AWESOME!

Edit. I've used 1 before for regular gaming and music, never for Guitar Rig, Rocksmith, Revalver, Amplitube etc.

The successor to the wildly popular Vengeance 2000 headset, the Corsair Vengeance 2100 7.1 Dolby Surround Headset with 50mm drivers, 10m+ range, uni-directional noise-cancelling mic and up to 10 hours battery life, I wouldn't mind this under my tree this year!
