No Man’s Sky developer is already working on a massive update

4 August 2016

As the release date for No Man’s Sky draws near, developer Hello Games is showing no signs of slowing down development.

Hello Games founder Sean Murray stated on Twitter that the development team was working hard on the game’s first update.

Murray said that the update will add “Lots of new features, balancing and content” to No Man’s Sky, although he did not indicate when this patch would be released.

Murray’s statement did imply that the update is almost completed, meaning that players could expect it soon after release or even as a Day 1 patch.

This follows a recent stir amongst the No Man’s Sky community after a Reddit user got his hands on a release version of the game and described his experience with it.

According to this user, the game requires massive balancing updates and is not as difficult to “complete” as most fans expected.
