During the keynote for its TwitchCon event in San Diego, the streaming service revealed its top 10 most popular games of 2016.
Topping out the list was Blizzard’s shooter Overwatch, coming as no surprise to anyone who had followed Twitch streamers regularly.
The list focuses only on games that were released in 2016 – hence the omission of popular titles like CS:GO, Dota 2, and League of Legends.
The list also shows that critical reception does not always equate to popularity.
