South African uncapped Fibre lines are now much cheaper than Uncapped ADSL

Many Internet service providers have launched new uncapped fibre-to-the-home products, with prices continuing to drop.

Afrihost was one of the ISPs which recently launched new uncapped FTTH products, offering services over Openserve, Vumatel, and TT Connect’s fibre networks.

What is interesting is that Afrihost’s new uncapped FTTH products offer better value for money than ADSL.

The main reason for this is the absence of an analogue line charge, which is compulsory with all ADSL services.

While this is bad news for ADSL and VDSL subscribers, it is good news for fibre operators.
