A recent clip from Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director Pawl Sasko’s Twitch channel gave fans some insight into future plans for the game.
In the clip, Sasko was asked a question regarding potential expansion projects for the title, and although he explained that he can’t say much about the plans themselves, he did note: “I can assure you that we are working [on an] expansion, we’re working [on] stuff for you guys besides that.”
“We are still improving the game because we are all aware there is work to be done.”
This is welcomed news for Cyberpunk fans, as many were worried that the title would take a backseat following the announcement that a new Witcher game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
The initial launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2020 was a disastrous event, as the game was plagued with game-breaking bugs and unfinished quests.
The game was almost unplayable, especially on consoles, which lead to CD Projekt Red even offering refunds to gamers who had purchased the game at launch.
However, since the release of patch 1.5, the game has seen massive improvements in performance and stability alongside a PS5 and Xbox Series S|X release.
Sasko also shared his reaction to the positive response to the latest patch and said, “We are very happy you guys liked 1.5, and that gives us more motivation.”
Although the future of Cyberpunk 2077 is still a bit of a mystery, it’s nice to know CD Projekt Red hasn’t given up on the game.
This gives fans hope that the title might soon become the game it was hyped up to be before its release in 2020.
