Dragon Age: Origins has been described as the spiritual successor to the immensely popular Baldur’s Gate. The game, set to be released no earlier than October, is being developed by veteran RPG makers Bioware.
Bioware is most well known for producing classic RPG titles, including Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect.
EA recently announced that the PC version Dragon Age will be held back in order to be released alongside the console versions. The release date has effectively move from March 27 to Q3 (Oct-Dec) of 2009.
On a more positive note, Bioware has announced Dragon Age’s six playable races along with their “origin stories”.
Dalish Elf
