Little Big Planet heads to the PSP

Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEA) has announced a number that a number of big PS3 titles are headed for the PSP, including Little Big Planet, Assassin’s Creed, Rock Band Unplugged and Motor Storm.

The announcements were made at SCEA’s annual Destination Playstation retail and Publisher event in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Rock Band Unplugged will be the first appearance of the Rock Band series on Sony’s portable games console.

According to Joystiq SCEA declared that Little Big Planet would arrive on PSP before the end of the year. The PSP port will be developed “in conjunction” with the creators of the original, “Media Molecule”, and will offer a similar experience to the the PS3 version, allowing users to create, play and share content. SCEA has promised that the PSP version will come with exclusive content not available on the PS3 version.  

SCEA also announced that Motor Storm is headed to the PSP, dubbed “Motor Storm Artic Edge”, and will be set in Alaska.
