It is no surprise that the Wii and PS2 dominate this chart, as they enjoy a far higher install base and have been available for longer than the Xbox 360 and PS3.

With the Wii and older consoles taken out of the equation we can clearly see how the Xbox 360 has sold far more games than the PS3. This can largely be attributed to the Xbox 360 launching a year earlier than the PS3 and having over 8 million more installed consoles than Sony.
