Fallout 3: Broken Steel now available

5 May 2009

The third, and supposedly final DLC pack for Bethesda’s award winning Fallout 3 “Broken Steel” is now available to Xbox 360 and PC owners over Xbox Live.

Unlike “The Pitt” and “Operation Anchorage”, “Broken Steel” allows players to play past the game’s main story line.Apparently it does this by altering the ending of the game’s primary story arch.

In Broken Steel, players can go on to join the Brotherhood of Steel and ultimately rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave.

The DLC also raises the games level cap from 20 to 30, and is now available on Xbox Live and Games for Windows – Live for 800 MS points.

Update

The PC release of Broken Steel has been pulled offline due to it not installing and runnig properly. Bethesda is working on the problem and will have it back up once it is fixed. The Xbox 360 version is also suffering from a bux, albeit more minor, which causes issues with the server syncing up with the players achievements properly. This issue is also being addressed.

Once again, we find it strange that Bethesda has released DRm that does not work. Quality control anyone?
