Entertainment media crossovers are by no means a new thing. Countless movies have been made into games, and in recent times we have even seen games being made into movies.
One of the rarest crossovers however is the fabled game-to-book spin off. A few games have done it, and with surprising success. Halo immediately springs to mind along with Resistance. Then of course there is the Bioshock novel which is in the works.
The latest video game story to be imortalised in novel format is none other than God of War. SCEE has announced that author Matthew Stover is finishing up a novel based on the epic God of War saga.
Stover has previously worked on equally geeky texts, including Star Wars: Shatterpoint.
The God of War novel will cover Kratos’ entire story, and promises to delve deep into the mind of the hero.
The novel is planned for release in March 2010 and will cost $15 (R120).
