Call of Duty: World at War gets third map pack

21 July 2009

Call of Duty: World at War developer Treyarch has announced that a third map pack for the game will become available next month.

The DLC, which will be available on Xbox360 and PS3, features three new arenas titled Battery, Revolution and Breach. In addition zombie level fans will be glad to hear that a new map, Der Reise (The Giant) will also become available.

No price was given but the map pack is likely to be similarly priced to the previous two which retailed for $10 (R80).

Although Treyarch has made no mention of a PC version it has in the past made PC packs available for free a few weeks after the console release.

South African users should have access to the update on the PSN network in early August. It is unclear whether the content will be region blocked for Xbox Live users.
