2upGamers 8th Lap event happening in Cape Town this week

30 July 2012

This Friday is the first Friday of the month, and – you know how it goes now, everybody sing along! – that means it’s 2upGamers Friday! Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, etc.

This month, it’s all happening at Ikamva in Parow again, presumably because the finger foods and parking proved quite popular with attendees last month.

Big things on the night include the Nintendo 3DS XL launch, with Nintendo SA’s Mandy Meredith in the house to make it official, as well as speakers from GameBuddies, Gecosports, and the Blisters for Bread charity. For those of you who want to get into the game, there’s also a Forza 4 exhibition match hosted by Ozone and an eGamer FIFA 12 competition.

Entry is R80, and you can sign yourself up right now over on 2upGamers’ website. As usual, yours truly will be there so come over and say hi. Rumours of my biting people may have been somewhat exaggerated – it only happened, like, one. Maybe twice. And only because I didn’t like the colour of his t-shirt.
