5 August 2009

Red Eagle games has recently hired Chris Morgan to pen the storyboard for its upcoming Wheel of Time games.

The Wheel of Time is a bestselling epic fantasy novel series by Robert Jordan, and Red Eagle has planned releases of the game port on all major consoles as well as the PC. A sepperate MMO based on the series is also being planned by the developer.

Chris Morgan is best known for penning the screenplay for Wanted, and also wrote The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and is in the process of working out the story for the upcoming Gears of War movie.

“As a massive fan of The Wheel of Time series, and a lifelong gamer, I jumped at the chance,” saidMorgan, going on to say “It’s really a dream opportunity for me.”

We are not sure what to make of the choice, and it remains to be seen if the action writer can please long time Wheel of Time fans.
