16 October 2009

Left 4 Dead 2 developer Valve has revealed further details regarding the previously exclusive game demo.

Recently MyGaming reported that the Left 4 Dead 2 game demo would only be available to those gamers who had pre-ordered the title on either PC or Xbox 360.

It has come to light however that after a week of pre-order exclusivity, the PC demo will be made freely available on the 3rd of November. The Xbox 360 demo will now be released to all Xbox Live Gold members on the same day. Those without Gold accounts will gain access to it on the 10th of November.

The demo will unveil a section of the New Orleans based ‘Parish’ level in Left 4 Dead 2. It will provide for up to four LAN or online players and split screen play on the Xbox 360. Additionally the demo will feature “all the new melee weapons”, some of which include a cricket bat and a frying pan and “all new boss infected zombies”.

Left 4 Dead 2 will become internationally available on the 17th of November.
