A recently leaked retailer training quiz has revealed developer Bioware’s intentions regarding DLC support for upcoming RPG sequel Mass Effect 2.
According to Destructoid a Microsoft Expert Zone quiz for retailers has revealed that the game will feature downloadable characters, specific combat content and full episodic content.
In the Xbox Live features section the document explicitly lists “planned episodic combat via DLC,” weapon and armour packs, new downloadable characters for the “campaign experience,” new downloadable worlds, as well as “full campaign expansions for download.”
The document also adds that it will include “periodic updates” through Mass Effect’s as yet unannounced in game “Cerberus Network”
If the quiz is correct then it will be clear that Bioware plans to support Mass Effect 2 considerably more than it did in Mass Effect with regards to DLC content. A factor which, in a RPG based shooter, gamers would argue is essential to the overall experience.
