The debut trailer for Disney’s film version of Prince of Persia has appeared online today, offering a first look at Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance as the time travelling prince.
According to Shack News the movie was partially written by franchise creator Jordan Mechner, directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and produced by the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer, who was responsible for the Pirate of the Caribean trilogy.
The movie, entitled Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is scheduled to be released in May next year and will also feature Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) as Princess Tamina as well as Ben Kingsley (Lucky Number Slevin, The Love Guru) as the villainous Nobleman, Nizam.
