Bioshock 2 Special Edition announced

Bioshock publisher 2K games has announced a special edition package for the upcoming sequel Bioshock 2, which is due to be released on the 9th of February 2010.

“Limited to a single-production run” the Special Edition will include a 164 page hard cover art book a 180g vinyl LP of the original BioShock’s orchestral score, an audio CD with the BioShock 2 orchestral score, and three “vintage Rapture advertisement posters,” as well as a copy of the game itself reports.

The Special Edition will ship on the same day as the retail copy of the game and will sell for $90 (R675) on PC and $100 (R750) on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It has not yet been confirmed however whether the package will ship to South Africa.

Developed by 2K Marin and 2K Australia Bioshock 2 will be the first title in the series to feature a multiplayer component. Digital Extremes will be responsible for this portion of the game and has revealed that it will include a number of game modes including one entitled ‘capture the sister’.
