Half-Life: Blue Shift gets co-op support

2 July 2013

After 14 years of modding, Half-Life modders Sven Co-op have released a new version of a mod that allows for co-op support in the Blue Shift expansion for Valve’s game.

The co-op mod allows gamers to team up with their friends, jump in their HEV suits and take on the Blue Shift campaign co-operatively.

“Version 4.8 will most likely be the final SC mod release, but this is by no means the end of Sven Co-op,” reads the update, but also saying that “We have a major announcement to make soon,”

Some other new additions in the mod include breakable functionality to all door types, RIPENT added for Linux with campaign installation scripts, along with uninstallation scripts, and improved compatibility with the SteamPipe update for Half-Life.

Check out the mod on the Sven Co-op forums.
