Microsoft and Crytek announced that they would be working to bring more games like Crysis 2 and 3 to the Xbox 360 in future, making the console a viable option for cash-strapped gamers. The two firms also announced that they would be embarking on a project to bring Warface, Crytek’s free-to-play shooter, to the console.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Crytek to introduce this award-winning PC franchise to a console audience for the very first time,” said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president, Microsoft Studios. “Our relationship with one of the world’s most talented developers continues to grow, as we bring ‘Ryse: Son of Rome’ to Xbox One, and ‘Warface: 360 Edition’ to Xbox 360.”
The game was originally only intended for Asian markets, but has now found support from players in other countries and on consoles such as the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, the latter console which will see the game on its launch day. Warface promises an action-packed world with intense graphics and great gameplay.
Crytek announced that the game port for the Xbox 360 was still in early development and is planned for a 2014 release.
