Dark Souls 2 release date revealed

19 September 2013

Namco Bandai has announced that Dark Souls 2 will launch on 14 March 2014 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

It was also announced that a PC release date “will follow closely”.

With regards to the PC version, Dark Souls 2 director Yui Tanimura previously said that it won’t be “half-assed” like the first.

“We will definitely put more priority on the PC,” said Tanimura. “Last time, we started working on PC after the console version was complete. This time, because we are considering the PC from the beginning, you can be sure there will be more care put into PC development.”

The first Dark Souls was arguably one of the most difficult games ever made, and the sequel will undoubtedly raise the bar in terms of challenge and scope.
