It’s amazing that Ubisoft would let this kind of thing occur again, after receiving so much criticism the first time.
The smart thing for consumers to do would be to wait until after release, see the response, and then decide whether or not to buy. It’s not ideal and I’ve enjoyed buying games on release in the past, especially multiplayer ones, where I get to build stats from the start, but delaying purchase, even for a day, will hopefully ensure that your gameplay experience is as it should be or potentially save you money. If lots of people do that, game developers would be stupid not to ensure smooth launches in future.
