Stoic Studio has announced that The Banner Saga 2 will release on 19 April 2016.
The development studio experienced delays last year and was expected to The Banner Saga 2 release in Q1 2016, a goal which they have only barely missed. The game will be available for both OSX and Microsoft Windows at launch.
The Banner Saga 2 will feature improved characters and stories accompanied by a new soundtrack written by Austin Wintory.
The first entry in The Banner Saga series was recently released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and there is no known console release date yet for the second iteration of the franchise.
The Banner Saga 2 is available for preorder on Steam, and buyers will receive a 10% discount if they pre-purchase the game.
