1Mbps ADSL to 2Mbps ADSL upgrades begin soon

Telkom has said that it successfully upgraded all 2Mbps ADSL users to 4Mbps ADSL by 23 December 2013, and will start to upgrade 1Mbps subscribers to 2Mbps on 15 January as planned.

Telkom started to upgrade 4Mbps ADSL subscribers to 10Mbps on 11 November 2013 – a process which was successfully completed on 18 November 2013.

2Mbps ADSL users were upgraded to 4Mbps between 18 November to 23 December 2013.

The last phase of the ADSL speed upgrades, where 1Mbps lines will be bumped up to 2Mbps, is planned to happen from 15 January 2014 to 28 February 2014.

    Its all good that my line was upgraded from a 2Mb to 4 Mb line but now there is an exchange problem in my area and I barely reach 1Mb speeds. Very annoyed to say the least
