How to get 50Mbps on your ADSL line – at a price

21 February 2015

Openweb has launched a “bonded ADSL in the cloud” uncapped service, offering speeds of between 20Mbps and 50Mbps. The service is aimed at users who cannot get Telkom’s VDSL or fibre products.

The ISP’s bonded ADSL in the cloud service allows a client to bond up to seven ADSL lines to achieve higher download and upload speeds.

“We have invested in a cloud backbone that will deliver the lowest bonded latencies in the country,” said Openweb founder Keoma Wright.

“Bonded ADSL in the cloud offers clients high speeds at a fraction of the cost of fibre or any other broadband technologies.”

The service comes with 5 static IP addresses, offers unshaped and uncapped data, and has international connectivity via Seacom, Sat-3, and Wacs.

The following table provides an overview of Openweb’s bonded ADSL in the cloud pricing. These prices do not include ADSL or analogue line rental, payable to Telkom.

3 x ADSL lines 30Mbps R5,799
