Nothing is true, everything is permitted, but Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood for PC won’t be shipping with Ubisoft’s controversial always-on DRM scheme.
The publisher confirmed this with VG247, explaining that an internet connection is only required for installation.
“The PC version of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, after an initial login, will be playable offline in single player mode,” says the company’s rep.
Ubisoft has previously announced it’s scrapping the DRM for a number of current titles.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood launches for PC on 18 March. If you missed them the first time around, here are the specs for the game:
