Last week there were various rumors circulating online regarding a soon to be announced new game from Capcom.
This morning, a 436MB teaser was uploaded for a mysterious unnamed Capcom title.
It turns out that the new release from Capcom will be Lost Planet 2, which is what many people were guessing.
The sneak peak trailer is available through Xbox Live, although when the game is eventually released it will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Lost Planet 2 will be powered by Capcom’s propriety engine, the MT-FrameWork 2.0. From what we have seen it is looking pretty amazing.
Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi is working on the title, along with Kenji Oguro.
The game features climate change, so expect variations from the white blanket snowscape that characterized the first title. The glaciers have melted, and the in-game footage depicts scenes taking place in massive overgrown jungles.
There are also a number of minor additions coming to the sequel, such as the implementation of portable shields and operable Mech robots. The trailer also hints at a co-op squad based mode which was missing from the original.
The compressed version is available here on youtube, or can be downloaded from Xbox Live.
