BioWare opens new Mass Effect 2 studio

3 March 2009

According to Magasutra, Mass Effect 2 developers Bioware are opening up a new studio in order to support 30 new staff members that are been hired to work on Mass Effect 2.

The new studio is being opened on the same premises as existing EA Montreal facilities.

The new positions being created specifically for Mass Effect 2 include artists, animators, designers and others.

Apparently, the team that will be working at the new premises will be working alongside EA Montreal, claiming that “There’s a great studio here continuing full-force with a whole bunch of really cool, exciting things as well.”

The new studio is being opened specifically to support Mass Effect 2 staff, and will have no affect on other current titles in development such as Dragon Age or Star Wars : The Old Republic.
