The GDC’s Game of the Year is an award that Industry professionals and developers around the world vote for every year.
Fallout 3 has been announced 2008’s game of the year. The RPG also won the Best Writing award.

Tommy Tallarico
Hideo Kojima was given the Lifetime achievement award and is famous for creating Metal Gear Solid. He is the former vice president of Konami Computer Entertainment Japan, and is now currently the Managing Directoral Officer and Studio Head of Kojima Productions. He is commonly referred to as one of the most influential and innovative video game directors and writers of all time.
Alexander Rigopoulos and Eran Egozy are in charge of Harmonix Music Systems, the company responsible for the music-game genre phenomenon. Harmonix was behind the original Guitar Hero series before it moved to Neversoft, and is also responsible for the Rock Band franchise.
Tommy Tallarico is a music composer for games, and has worked on classics such as Earthworm Jim and MDK. In 1994 he founded Tommy Tallarico Studios as well as the Game Audio Network Guild.
