It seems that each month is quieter than the last in terms of big releases this year. We can’t complain, however, as May actually has a few potential gems in store. Arguably the one to watch this month will be Operation Flashpoint 2, a realistic first person shooter/war simulator. Apart from that, South African PC owners can look forward to Demigod, which has already been out internationally for a while now.
As if RTS fans have not been spoilt enough over the past few months, they will be getting the entire Company of Heroes series bundled neatly in one package.
Things are looking a bit skinny on the console front, with Operation Flashpoint 2 again being the one to watch on both platforms. Racing fans have something to look forward to in Fuel, and RPG fans stranded on console shores will finally get the excellent Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
Of course Metal fans will be amped for Guitar Hero: Metallica, and a healthy selection of varied titles such as Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Damnation and Heist should make up the number quite nicely. While not being an outstanding month, May promises to have enough to keep a wide range of tastes satisfied.
