Want to buy games but don’t have the cash? Well now you can get gaming by spending money you might not have – yes you can. With CNA. [Ed: *Cringe*].
Starting today (26 June 2012), CNA have launched a refreshed online store specifically targeting gamers, where you can now use your Edgars or Jet account to buy games, hardware and accessories.
“Buying games can be difficult for gamers as the major AAA titles often release during the same month, which sometimes forces gamers to choose which games they want to play first according to what they can afford”, said David Gibbons, Edcon’s e-commerce executive.

With account purchases, says Gibbons, gamers can now buy all the titles they want at one time and pay them off over several months.
The site now offers “thousands of products” across four product categories: books, games, movies and music along with 10,000 eBooks; and CNA is looking to keep boosting its inventory.

Products will retail on the site for the same price as in-store, Gibbons said, but grabbing the latest titles from CNA Online on credit will net additional benefits, such as earning “Thank U” points and having access to “the online/offline combination” of its store network.
Delivery for purchases will occur nation-wide within three days, on average. The delivery charge on all purchases over R350 will be wavered; otherwise a R55 delivery fee will apply.
If something goes wrong, you’ll also be able to return your purchases in-store at any CNA; and Mr. Gibbons let us know that in-store pick-ups for purchases are also on the cards for sometime in the future.
If you don’t have an Edcon credit account, they’ll still take your credit card.
David Gibbons will not likely accept in-game credits or gold coins, however.
CNA now joins Kalahari, Zaps, Takealot and Wantitall in putting forward a formidable online channel for acquiring games – but are the benefits of credit and loyalty rewards enough to make you switch over?
