Splinter Cell: Conviction will take 12 hours to complete

2 July 2009

Creative Director of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Maxime Beland has revealed to OXM in the UK that it will be possible to complete the game in roughly twelve hours.

“I want people to play my games and finish them. We’re going to ship with difficulty levels, at least a normal mode and realistic mode – like we did on Rainbow Six Vegas.” said Beland.

“Realistic is going to be really f****** hard – you’re going to need stealth. Two bullets is going to kill you, the enemies are going to be super-lethal. And then we’re going to have the normal mode for normal gamers that are going to spend 12 hours playing our game and not 30 because they’re dying all the time.”

It seems as though game developers at the Ubisoft Montreal offices are determined to accommodate for all gamers by ensuring that there is representation of a number of game modes.

The most recent addition to the Tom Clancy series is set to be released later this year and will ship on PC and Xbox 360. There are a number of new gameplay features in this instalment including “Mark and Execute”, which allows agent Sam Fisher to tag an object or opponent and fire at it automatically.
