Wolfenstein delayed 2 weeks

15 July 2009

Originally planned for release in the first week of August, Activision has announced that the latest release in the cult franchise will be pushed back to the week beginning August 17.

Rumors of the delay began surfacing yesterday when a number of US retailers began listing the game’s release date as August 18. Activision, who earlier this year announced that the game would be released on August 4 today confirmed that the game will be pushed back 2 weeks.

Activision has issued an official statement declaring that “”In order to facilitate a simultaneous global release window for id Software’s Wolfenstein, Activision has realigned the game’s release date for the week beginning August 17th,”

Wolfenstein will be available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and should be out locally the week following the international release.
