In an article posted on its web portal, DoGaming has announced details surrounding the competitions it will be running at this year’s rAge LAN event .
“There will three competitions at rAge:
• Call of Duty 4 – top 36 teams
• Counter Strike Source – 12 teams
• Battlefield 2 – 10 teams
These teams will all receive tickets to the rAge expo. The Do Gaming competition will happen in a separate VIP section, which will be connected to the open LAN.
The ranking of the teams will be decided from the third leg of the Do Gaming League. In the case of CoD4, there will be a playoff at the end of the leg and the top 36 teams thereafter will receive rAge tickets. Details of the playoff structure will be released soon.
In addition, AGASA is running a DotA tournament in the open LAN along with a Call of Duty 4 tournament. These will be run by AGASA and are not linked to the Telkom Do Gaming competition. These players will have to pay the R250 for their tickets into the open LAN and expo.

rAge 09 is set to take place from the 2nd to the 4th October, and will be held at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg.
Apart from the LAN, rAge is also South Africa’s biggest gaming expo. There will be a wide variety of gaming and technology related stands on display at the event.
