A 32 year old American woman has pleaded guilty to “possessing child pornography” after entering into a virtual relationship with a 16 year old boy in which she bought the minor an Xbox Live webcam so that he could record sexually explicit videos’ of himself.
Kendra L. Sasser of Ohio is looking at 10 years in prison for having committed the offence.
Between August and September 2007 Sasser and the boy shared explicit photos and videos of each other over Xbox Live.
Allaboutthegames reported that Sasser sent the boy a $40 gift card so that he could purchase the Xbox Live webcam.
Sasser’s husband reportedly tipped off the police when he became aware that she had been engaging in inappropriate communications with minors. Sasser faces sentencing in October.
