Witcher 2 mod toolset incoming

Ahead of Gamescom next week, CD Projekt Red has announced that they will be showing off their new mod toolset for The Witcher 2 at the expo.

According to a post over on the official Witcher forums, REDkit is the “long-awaited set of tools for modders which will allow any player to create their own content for the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings”, including “non-linear adventures”, “great looking locations”, and “much more”. Like full-frontal nude skins for Geralt. Because you know that’s going to happen.

No other details have been supplied for the moment, but I’m sure this is already enough info for prospective modders to get busy on their full-frontal nude skins for Geralt in Photoshop.

Although the announcement is a bit of a surprise, it’s not exactly unexpected from a developer that’s PC-friendly enough to dump DRM. Modding is a big deal in the PC community – since the launch of the Skyrim Creation Kit mod tools, more than 9,000 fan-made mods have been added to the game’s Steam Workshop list and – yes – plenty of full-frontal nude mods also released on the side.
