Valve showcases new Left 4 Dead level

27 August 2009

Valve has announced that it will showcase the third out of five Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns at next weekend’s Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.

The level, which is called ‘Dark Carnival’, will be playable for conference attendees. Over twenty new items will be showcased and more than likely demoed. Both the Xbox 360 and PC versions will be available to be played at PAX.

If the ‘Dark Carnival’ screenshot that Valve has released is anything to go by players can expect to match themselves up to irate zombie clowns and carnival goers in a co operative fashion.

Previously Valve debuted ‘The Parish’ at E3 in May and ‘Swamp Fever’ at Comic-Con in July. This level marks the third out of five levels to be premiered before the game is released on PC and Xbox 360 in mid November.

Left 4 Dead 2 will be set in the Southern States of the US, with a finale in New Orleans, Louisiana. Four new survivors, namely a football coach, news reporter, mechanic and a conman will be introduced to existing characters from the previous game.
