Activision has recently announced that Kurt Cobain will be playable in Guitar Hero 5, which launches tomorrow in the US.
The late grunge rock icon joins a cast which includes the likes of Johnny Cash, Carlos Santanna, Shirley Manson from Garbage, Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and Mathew Bellamy of Muse fame.
Cobain will perform ‘Smells like Teen Spirit’ as well as a live version of ‘Lithium’, both singles from the bands eponymous debut – Nevermind.
Guitar Hero 5 will feature 85 songs which range from a number of genres.

All downloadable content from Guitar Hero: World Tour will be forward compatible with Guitar Hero 5.
The game also features multiple instrument functionality. This will allow up to four players to play the same instrument, including the drums.
