Activision has announced that the much anticipated racing title, Blur, will now be released in 2010 as opposed to November 3 this year as previously expected.
Developed by Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations, the racing game is planned for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Activision claims to have delayed Blur in order to “further enhance the game’s innovative and distinctive online multiplayer gameplay”.
“The additional time will allow the studio to fully optimize the vision they set out to create for Blur including a distinctive and groundbreaking multiplayer mode that will appeal to a broad audience,” explained Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith.
Blur is not the first game that was planned for a late 2009 release that is now only going to see the light of day next year. Other titles delayed include Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain and StarCraft II.
