Batman: Arkham Asylum shifts 2.5 million copies

Eidos, publisher of the recently released Batman: Arkham Asylum has announced that the game has shipped 2.5 million copies to retailers.
The game, which was released on the 25th of August, has performed solidly on global sales charts in past weeks by managing to remain in the worldwide top ten for almost a month now according to VGCharts.

Warner Brothers Interactive, a partner publisher with Eidos, has revealed that it could not be happier with the results. Company President Mark Tremblay added that the strong sales numbers are a demonstration of how a “”powerful franchise fused with high-quality production” can sell.

Currently Batman: Arkham asylum holds a aggregated score of 92 on PC and Xbox 360 and 91 on PS3 according to Metacritic – making it one of the most positively recieved titles this year.
