New Left 4 Dead DLC gets release date

23 September 2009

Developers Valve announced today that the Left 4 Dead ‘Crash Course’ DLC will be released on the 29th of September.
The download, which is free on PC and 560 Microsoft points (R50) on Xbox 360, will bring a number of new maps to the game which can be used in Campaign and Versus modes. New survival maps are also to be included.

“The primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game’s existing Versus campaigns,” added Valve.

Although Left 4 Dead 2 is due for release in November, the company has vowed to keep supporting Left 4 Dead with downloadable content in the future, with a number of new DLC announcements due to take place after the sequel’s release.
