A sequel to the well received horror title Dead Space, which was developed by Visceral Games, will be entering production within the coming months according to a job listing posted on Linkedin.
According to the job listing the game is nearing the end of its pre production phase.
“The game is in the later stages of pre-production, ready for production in the next few months, with many of the navigational and combat mechanics in place. We have complete autonomy and creative control over our own decisions.” reads the listing.
Although last December’s sales, which included Dead Space, were less than impressive publishers EA revealed that it “is 100% committed to this IP, and has already worked on IP extensions such as comic, animated features, and action figures.”
Dead Space currently boasts aggregated scores in the high eighties across all platforms on Metacritic and is arguably one of the most popular current action horror titles available.
