Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has voiced his opinion on the recently released PSP Go! portable console.
The defining feature of the console is that it does not use removable disks, but rather requires users to download games from the internet. The supposed benefit is that it is far easier to download games directly than to go and buy them at a store.
However, Fils-Aime does not grasp the actual benefit in the new device.
“I have the utmost respect for all our competitors,” he told the Washington Post. “But it’s interesting to try and answer the consumer question of ‘what’s in it for me?’
PSP Go! games are typically around 800-1200Mbs in size, making them less than ideal for South African gamers.
The device costs R3500 locally, and is currently available at select retailers.
