Reports have surfaced that a Swedish teen, aged 18, who stabbed a 15 year old girl after flying into a fit of rage because he couldn’t access the Starcraft Battle.net server due to a faulty internet connection, has been sentenced.
In August the unnamed male became furious when his internet connection did not allow him to gain access to the Starcraft online server. As a result he charged out into the street with a knife where he stabbed a 15 year old passerby with a kitchen knife. The multiple stab wounds did not prove fatal.
The teenager has now been found to have not been in a stable state of mind at the time and has been sentenced to psychiatric care. The case has been classed as an attempted incidence of manslaughter because the male did not have any intention of murdering someone when he had left his house says UK based website All About the Games.
