Third person Modern Warfare 2 confirmed

27 October 2009

Yesterday we reported on a video which emerged on Youtube, showing an anonymous gamer playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in third person mode.

At the time, neither Infinity Ward nor Activision had anything to say about the matter.

Robert Bowling, community manager at Infinity Ward, has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will in fact be getting a third-person mode.

Apparently, it will be a playlist option, and will only be available in private matches and special playlists.

This means, as many had assumed, that third-person matches will have everyone playing this mode, while first person will have everyone playing using the traditional view point.
