EA working on next generation console games?

27 October 2009

A job listing posted on Gamasutra indicates that EA is looking to hire engineers to work on next generation platforms.

“Our last two titles were Wii-based, but our next titles will be for the next generation.” Reads the advertisement.

Applicants are required to have at least 7 years experience, and must have worked on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PSP games.

Analysts predict that we will not see next generation consoles until 2012 at the earliest. Given that many games have a development window of around 3 years, we can expect developers to start working on titles for the likes of the PS4 and “Xbox 720” soon.
