November release calendar
October was arguably 2009’s best month for gaming so far. Luckily for gamers, November is looking even better for a number of reasons, most notably, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) , Dragon Age: Origins, Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time and DJ Hero.

Modern Warfare 2 perks listed and detailed
With the impending release of Infinity Ward’s latest Call of Duty title publishers Activision released a full list of customisable perks that can be found in Modern Warfare 2. These include unlimited sprint, increased bullet damage and increased melee distance among others.
Afrihost gaming speed test
Recently internet service provider Afrihost shook up the broadband market by making international bandwidth available to consumers at R29 per gigabyte, undercutting the closest competition by almost half.
We looked into how well this bandwidth delivers when it comes to online gaming.
Dragon Age: Origins delayed locally
This week MyGaming reported that logistical bottlenecks have caused Bioware’s highly anticipated RPG Dragon Age to be delayed locally by three days. Inside sources at BTGames and Take 2 confirmed that the game was held back due to the Collector’s Edition being delayed.
This means that the game will only be available to South African fans on the 9th of November.
Woolworths cuts PS3 Slim 250GB price
Woolworths now sells the PS3 Slim 250GB package for R4299. Furthermore, buyers get a R200 Woolsorths gift card if they do so with a Woolworths Visa card. This effectively means that customers will be able to pick up the console for R4099 – some R400 cheaper than competitors.
Update
It seems that the price cut may be a country wide one, as other retailers such as Kalahari.net have also since cut the price of the 250GB Slim to R4299.
