Developers Gearbox have confirmed that Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 owners with a copy of recently released sci fi fps Borderlands will be able to purchase the game’s first DLC package this month.
The downloadable package, entitled ‘The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned’ will be available for $10 (roughly R75 or 800 Microsoft points) on November 24th.
The package will reportedly bring a number of new quests, enemies and loot drops to the game.
“Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned… does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region,” 2K explained, describing it as a “full-fledged expansion.”
There is however a chance that local Xbox 360 users will not have access to the DLC due to Xbox Live content restriction regulations for countries which lie outside of its service support area. This however cannot be confirmed until the package is released.
Although no PC release date has been given so far Gearbox has confirmed that it will be released for the platform at some stage.
