UK judge fakes ill for Modern Warfare 2

23 November 2009

The launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has officially been recorded as the largest entertainment media launch ever. While the game’s critical reception has not been quite as positive as its commercial achievements, it is still considered by most to be an excellent game.

In fact, its so good that, according to The Times a 48 year old district judge from the UK has a admitted staying up all night playing the game, and being so tired the next morning that he called in sick.

Modern Warfare 2 sold over 8 million copies worldwide in its launch week, and grossed over $550-million worldwide. Both console versions maintain an impressive Metacritic score of 94/100. The PC version has not been quite as well received and holds a score of 87/100.
