Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is in development, and will be released on consoles in May 2010. The game will see a return to the Prince of Persia Sands of Time storyline.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is being pitched not as a sequel to the last Prince of Persia title, but rather, a continuation of the old series.

A trailer for the game will be released on Saturday Decemeber 12.
