Call of Duty ported to Xbox Live and PSN

Publisher Activision has announced that an Xbox 360 port of Infinity Ward’s 2003 shooter Call of Duty will be released on Xbox Live later this week.

European Xbox 360 community manager Graeme Boyd revealed via his Twitter account yesterday that those players who did not purchase a copy of Modern Warfare 2 (the game reportedly ships standard with an activation code) will be able to get themselves the World War II port for 1200 MS Points (roughly R115) when it becomes available on Wednesday.

Activision has also announced that a PS3 version will become available to online subscribers on Thursday for $14.99 (roughly R115).

Call of Duty was the first of many releases to have featured in the franchise thus far, and saw Infinity Ward take up the helm as what most would consider the best Call of Duty development team yet.
